      Hello,

Is there any difference between the Red, Blue, White, black CDI units?
Different restrictions in the RPM for different markets or something? Or are the just different colors dependin on what year they were manufactured?

Is there some way to tune the CDI unit to get higher RPM or something?

Yes there is some difference between CDI units. First of all they are from different manfacturers. Ducati, Mitsuba, Simonini etc. The internal design is different. I think there is no option to alter or tune these CDI’s. But you can find another type of CDI. I had some succes with the Malossi K15 types for instance. But again no actual powergain or better performance with this Malossi CDI. All the CDI’s i’ve used can comprehend the rather low rpm’s of our little engines.
