Just been watching you dutch lad’s pulling ciao wheely’s on you tube.
Shorts, flip flops, and no crash hat! great stuff!
Your roads must be soft in Holland, or you have hard skin!11 juli 2008 om 22:05 #147662Who takes the time to put this site together and organize your meeting?
I hope to get over and see you all next year when i have more fund’s.
My three kids tend to soak up any spare cash i have at the moment.11 juli 2008 om 22:28 #147664Kids :pest 😛
To bad you can’t come this year.
In 2009 there will be some meetings again so time enough my friend
11 juli 2008 om 23:06 #147667Bread and water for brats equals big bore kits for dad.
11 juli 2008 om 23:27 #147668Discounts are good to 😀 haha
Np mate 🙂 check you next year on the meeting and check out the pictures when they are made of the meeting 2008
12 juli 2008 om 13:18 #147670I don’t need any more plastic buckets thanks! I don’t think they sell discount Ciao cranks at that
shop, thats what i need for my bike. Fons told me the guy in fip flops was Italian not Dutch,
but i know all you Dutch are tough guys too, with no skid lid’s (crash hat)12 juli 2008 om 15:59 #147672that’s because we have 45 km/h ciao’s, that require wearing a helmet, and 25 km/h ciao’s that don’t (so some guys who don’t wear a helmet, are allowed to drive without one).
off course a lot of those go a bit faster then 25 km/h :p12 juli 2008 om 19:47 #147673like me 😛 but i have to adjust my clutch so i can pull some wheelies, maybe after my holiday, then i would have to see how much my bankaccount allows me to spend 😛
12 juli 2008 om 20:51 #147674I can’t imagine riding on the road with no crash hat, over here mopeds built after 1977 are
restricted to 30mph, but you still need a helmet to ride. Most bikes get de-restricted or 65cc
kits fited by there owners, i had a Yamaha FS1E when i was 16, it was a 1976 so i made it go as fast
as posible, the only thing was any bike pre1977 had to have pedals not fixed foot pegs.12 juli 2008 om 21:15 #147675One thing you shouldn’t foreget is that in holland we have got an awfull lot of cycle lanes made of the finest asfalt there is. I’ve been in England once and i do understand that driving there without a helmet is similar to commiting suïcide compared to holland.
That is one of the reasons I think it is pretty safe tot drive without a helmet, you don’t have to be tough to drive without one. (ofcourse you do have to drive responsible, approaching a crossing at 40mph is not recommended :P)
A couple of month ago we went on a tour with 30 members of this site, and i think 80% of the time we drove on cycle lanes seperated from the cars, and no one crashed into a car (okey, Bart crashed a bit, but that was his own stupid foult… :pest)

Home made engine dyno13 juli 2008 om 13:11 #147676Yes, i saw you all on you tube, it looked great fun riding on those nice flat cycle lanes,
here cycle lanes are for cycles only. All i can see from my house are hills, not good for mopeds!!
Me and 4 of my frends did a 24 hour moped run for a charity, it was good fun but i don’t know how
we weren’t all killed! -
