Hello everyone,
My Mono-Ciao C7E1T
original unmachined engine case63cc Polini
13/13 carburetor with 66mm jet
Malossi air filter
Original Piaggio moped exhaust
Original clutch springs
new clutch pads
new belt
It runs very smoothly once it’s started.
I have to ease off the throttle so the clutch can engage properly, and then gradually increase the throttle to reach top speed.
The belt is properly tensioned, there’s no play and no sagging, and of course, no oil or other lubricant on the affected parts.
The clutch pads are new.
I’ve already tried harder springs (Malossi set), but then the engine revs even higher when starting, and the Ciao doesn’t move at all; it just revs up when stationary.
Can someone please help me ?
with this?
Thanks and best regards

30 augustus 2025 om 14:50 #829790Do make that video, but in the meantime, make sure the steel balls are properly touching the plate that bolts onto your crankshaft. Sometimes they’ll end up pinched in a wrong way, causing the segments to not move freely.
Obviously stock springs would result in RPM engagement at around 2500rpm (or so i think). You’l probably be better off with Polini Blue, or the Malossi equivalent.31 augustus 2025 om 20:43 #829814Please Check the link. Here you can See what i mean. The Clutch hast noch grip
31 augustus 2025 om 21:07 #829818Sounds like the belt is slipping?
Or the segments can not move free like niek92 said.Gr. Wim.
