      Nice thanks!
It’s my first time ever porting so I was very careful but I think it turned out pretty well.
If I have any other questions about my project I will share them here.

        Hey guys,
I just saw that I have a few scratches in my inlet window as you can see on the last picture. One is along the bottom and one one the right site. Do you think it will still work or not?
Please a quick answer thank you?17155086648461598504696625615580

I would try to get it a bit more smooth so your flow wont be infected or so that your crankshaft wont hit those ridges and small pieces of metal might get in your cillinder . Also the canal itself does not look very great or it might be the lighting but i think it could be alot smoother.

              Hatsa

Ok, I will try it out. Do you think it would run properly because I think the flow isn’t that important it would probaly result in 1 kmh less. But I am not sure if it will run at all with these scratches. What do you think?

I would bin that Carter and try to find a other one. The inlet must be smoothe where it hits the crank. Now it wont close properly.

ok, i have currently no other choice than trying it. I have poured some oil in the inlet with the crankcase in it and watched if it will come out. After a bit of waiting it came out through the inlet window but it was veeery slow so it’s just a bit leaking. What do you think could it work?
Because it’s closing like 95% so I think it could.

the replica’s dont seal well on the crankshaft and the bearing surfaces aren’t machined properly, sadly enough.
You can try it but don’t expect a good or even well running engine without a lot of work

                        beetje prutsen hier en daar

                          Okay, thank you!
I am currently searching for a new engine case but it is harder than I thought! Does somebody know where I could get a new one or is here someone who could sell one?

I would search for an used original. You can get them very cheap. I doubt that you live in the Netherlands, but on this site : http://www.marktplaats.nl there are plenty of parts for the Vespa. Complete engines or engine case also. You can place an advertisment on this site also.

The dust-bin is the best solution!
When I look to the pictures of the surface of the inlet-area I fear for crying.
In no-way the shown inlet is comparable with my inlet-channel.

It MUST be smooth and blurr-free for best result.

btw: Inlet to be treated with extreme care. Take your time!
Better half an hour extra work then 1 big blurr.
