:: Best cylinder head for 43 millimeter?
-
I´m looking for a good cylinder head for a 43 millimeter cylinder.
The machine I´m building are a sprint race SuperBravo for short races.
I don´t want the decompression valve, I prefer a good shaped high pressure combustion chamber.
Can you advice me on wich head to choose?
Actually there are none good Cylinder heads for Ciao, Citta, Si etc.. There is little no difference between all sorts of heads.
Also the heads without decompression valve are very rare. You can try to screw the valve to the head so it will be always closed.
Just for the looks I should go for a new type Polini or DR head. They have nice combustion chambers with a central sparkplug.
If you go For a Malossi one. Go for the head wich is provided with there Deps or ipermatic (Replica) cylinders. Also central sparkplug and smallest combustionchamber out there.
where can one find the DR head?
you probaly won’t find one, unless you buy an “old” dr cylinder kit from ebay.
some of those old kit’s have a cylinderhead included.
i do have one in my possession, which is in a good state.
here is a good detail picture of the combustion chamber:

Keep it positive Lastpak. 😉 It’s true over here in the Netherlands they are somewhat harder to come by, but in Italy you can find them with more ease. Also DR got some heads without there “DR” Logo. The rest is practicly the same.
