I’m building a new engine for my daily-driven ciao as I want more low- and mid-end torque than my current engine (before the Athena engine I had a 43mm Olympia engine which had more low-end torque)
Current engine
– Athena (Eurocylindri) 50cc
– Polini high compression 38,4 mm head without decompression valve
– Modified carter (max intake size, extra channels for the cylinder, match ported)
– Original crank with increased intake timing
– 13/13 Dellorto with Polini filter
– Gianelli original power exhaust
– No varioNew engine
– DR Evo 43mm
– Polini high compression 43 mm head
– Modified carter (max intake size, matched to the cylinder)
– Original crank with increased intake timing
– 13/13 Dellorto with Polini filter
– No varioCan’t decide which exhaust to use on this engine.
I want to have an “original look” so not too big or too noisy…I’m not that happy with the Gianelli original power on my current engine, it’s suprisingly loud at high revs and I think it lacks power.
I was thinking of a Leovinci SP (cigar) but it seems almost impossible to buy anywhere?
What other good allround exhausts are there?/Dea

#RIDINGSOLO24 september 2014 om 20:03 #145252I think you will be suprised of the power from the gianelli in combination with the DR cilinder.
Another standard look with goed performance will be the Sito city power. Almost the same characteristics as the gianelli but supposedly a lot quieter26 september 2014 om 04:44 #146559the gianelly city power is in fact a expansion pipe.
looks like a kart exhaust when you open it up 😀my gianelly did 81kph with a dr evo on a malossi speed engine (with bigasss carb)
i think its one of the best pipes around for the standard looks.
just mount it en go make some wheelies
De budget beun tjoener: geen geld is te duur of het werkt nog niet

28 september 2014 om 12:22 #145254Plenty friends drive the Gianelli Street exhaust and it is really good!
I personally like the short Sito (with E-number). It does by far not have the high rpm power but is good in the lower and middle areas. I drive it on my original engine and it easily goes 38 km/h GPS with it and even 12% are no problem with 30+.

I’ll get a Sito City power to compare
