I need some advice about which gearing to chose.
My intention is to build a short track sprintbike, the distance is as short as 75 meters.
I have counted the present gearing in my back wheel variator (or whatever it´s called) and I count to
about 14,5 laps on the incoming axle before the wheel axle have completed a full revolution.
As you may have seen my setup is a Dr Evo, a side intake, a Malossi variator and I will run with 16 inch wheels.
My question is if this gearing is too low to be useful on a track that short?
I don´t mind top speed a bit, the goal is to run the distance as fast as possible.
In my perspective it could be good but I don´t want it to reach full rpm´s after half the distance either.
By the way, what kind of RPM´s can be expected from the 43 mm Dr Evo?
