hey,
I would be interested to get info about the difference in performance of the two 60ccm Alu cilinder kits (Pinasco and Polini)
Could you tell me your experiences with theses kits? And with what setup you made your experience? Thanks,Ralf

.-{2F4OV}-.Pinasco kit is good quality, therefore high price. I had it for a year with variomatic and was good.
70 km/u i think…
21 augustus 2008 om 13:47 #145062the pinasco is very durable quality, i think the polini would be faster.
but people experience bad quality of the nicasyl sealing from the polini.
if you chose the polini you can get a 27mm exhaust port.in my opinion i would choose the pinasco.
i wouldnt take the risk of having a bad polini one.21 augustus 2008 om 14:07 #145063If you see my current setup you can see i can go 80 km/h with the pinasco. It is very good but slower than the polini. Just like diac says dont take the risk of a bad polini.
21 augustus 2008 om 14:07 #145064I would take the 42mm Pinasco. 1/2 from this forum has it and it performs VERY well on a speedengine, 13.13, Simo racing exhaust setup. It’s very durable and has great topspeed, combined with some nice power!
The 42mm Polini is capable of going VERY fast, but I heard the quality is rather poor.. Sometimes you’re lucky and the quality is good, but you could have bad luck and end up with a bad cylinder!
So if possible: Take the 60cc Pinasco
It’s good quality!21 augustus 2008 om 14:19 #145065The Polini runs good, but the NiCaSil is not real good quality indeed. The other thing with the Polini is that the fittings in the piston for the pistonrings is too wide, therefore it doesn’t really run silent. I personally think that’s a real bad thing for a kit that price.. A real plus off course is the steel exhaustpipe, it won’t break. (I have had my Polini for 6 years now and the NiCaSil is still good, but I don’t drive a lot off course)
The Pinasco doesn’t have that but it does have a Gilardoni sealing, which is very good according to people’s saying. Also the Pinasco has a L-shaped top pistonring, which gives even better compression. You only need to be carefull with the exhaust pipe, that’s a bit more fragile.
I have them both and they both run very nice, allthough I think the Pinasco has more high-end power due to it’s bigger exhaust.
Portmaps of both are to be found in our ‘poortmappen topic’. You can compare the porting and calculate the timing there.
I came, I saw, and I forgot what I was doing...22 augustus 2008 om 07:09 #145066Thanks, your recommendations are going more or less in the same direction.;)
cu,Ralf
