The “drie landen hoek” is a good possibility te united the german and dutch community in a tour!

The tour starts near Aachen in Alsdorf (D-52477) and I want to drive across the border through Kerkrade to the Brunssummerheide, Nationaal Park Hoge Kempen and back about Maaseik and Geleen/Sittard over the Brunssummerheide.

The whole tour is going to be very “green”, so we are going to drive over field paths, passing forests and lakes. Even the start is a local recreational area with a little Zoo and great possibilities to get some good lunch before we start.
During the tour we have a lot of other opportunities to get some food or relax during a little break.

The date is not terminated, yet! But we want to go for a ride on August, after the VCT, etc.

I hoped somebody here lives around this area and wants to hepl me with the planning of the route. 😉

– min. speed is 50, better 60 km/h
– it’s going to be round about 100+ km at one day (variable, not fixed yet!)
– opportunity to make a little meeting in advance with a nice area

– more than enough parking lots for 2 € (whole day with trailer!)
– nice bike paths over fields and past woods and lakes
– many options to change the route we drive
-start is 25 km from Heerlen, 90 km Limburg, 140 km Antwerpen, 110 km Eindhoven, 200 km Utrecht, 340 km Groningen, 220 km Enschede
– AND favourable hotels/sleeping options for people who come e.g. from Amsterdam and want to stay the night meanwhile the mopeds can be parked safely in my garage

Impressions:

Tourstart is at the Alsdrofer Weiher near the german-dutch border. (Near D-Herzogenrathand NL-Kerkrade) We have great options to get some food or chill at the beachbar befroehand.
