Hi friends,
there is everytime the same problem for me, the zylinder you get for ciao citta and Co are pretty bad because of the tolerances and the Material.
And a zylinder from scooters doesnt fit at all without any massive problems.
So what to do.get some F**** Aluminium and do it yourself 😀
pretty easy to say but not easy to do as well.
my try is it to build a watercooled KICK engine which runs on Minarelli parts but fits in a normal or for the first prototype in a selfmade frame.
so what should i tell you more. Pictures say more than 1000 words 🙂

49cc is a BIG lie

and here i am actually. now i have to wait for a variator kit for 17€ …. whoi thats cheap stuff i tell you….
16 januari 2018 om 10:25 #500585That’s a very nice project

Looking forward to the end result.16 januari 2018 om 12:36 #500586Wow …..
That is having guts.
You are on your way to eternal fame.
I would really like it if you bring this to a good end.:@16 januari 2018 om 13:40 #500587this is what iam looking for.
the Si is normally my all day bike and this has to stay that way 🙂
If the parts fits very good at least i can change them to some with a little more power harrrr =)
16 januari 2018 om 17:46 #500588I’ve seen your project also on PMT.de and it’s called VCT SI Das Beast. Are you also planning to drive this with this comming VCT?
16 januari 2018 om 18:25 #500589Very interesting project, keep us updated
16 januari 2018 om 18:31 #500590@martino: yes indeed I want to drive it on the vct. It has to, because there is no other engine ready :!
@will: i will do.
17 januari 2018 om 20:04 #500594today the cooler arived. perhaps a little bit too high but for the first try it should be perfekt.
and no it doesnt belong to the ciao, i was to lazy to go out of my warm garage 😀the vario is really tricky, this is only for the first test. i think i have to turn the hole backside of the vario on my lathe new and make an adapter so that it fits good.

18 januari 2018 om 11:40 #500595Why the choice of a Piaggio/Vespa variator if you can also make the Minarelli fit? This can be much cheaper and easier aswell.
18 januari 2018 om 12:49 #500596How you gonna fix the cooling?
Cause a pump with accu will not last a whole Vct tour.18 januari 2018 om 14:03 #500597Nice nice, Doing well

How do you ensure that the crankshaft bearings are aligned?
18 januari 2018 om 18:18 #500599@Martino: the minarelli is 4mm deeper and you see that the space on the shaft isn’t a lot.
This is just for the first test. When the engine is running I will make my own vario.@speedbuxy: this is true. I build the waterpump by myself.
It will work like the pump from the Polini lc Kit. Same principle.Zevenenergie: look at the pictures, there are two diameter going together. It’s perfectly aligned.
18 januari 2018 om 18:55 #500600Ok, I see now,

Dit you weld the brak holder on the fork or dit you durafixt it?
Compliments compliments.18 januari 2018 om 19:00 #500601Yes it’s welded to the fromt fork 👌
19 januari 2018 om 17:34 #500605now i drilled the M7 bolts and i started with the kick side.
