Hi Guys
As some of you maybe aware i have ordered a Polini roller kit to install heavier rollers in my multivar.
I note that this kit has roller covers, can someone let me know please if these must be used as the malossi rollers have nothing like this.

Giuseppethese are the so called “test-rollers”. but mostly they use that name in the scooter-world. Us moped riders can use them everyday. and you should mount the rollcovers, otherwise the rollers won’t do their job.

yes it is the TEST kit shall we say.
hopefully once i get this sorted then i’m going to have to buy some proper rollers to fit.
why would these need covers to fit Niek ? what’s the reason for that would you know.

Giuseppeyou can change the weight of the rollers, by replacing the inner weight. These are copper/brass weights. Wich you can replace. that’s for the testrollers. But it’s unnecessary to buy expensive Malossi HT-rollers… You can buy them ofcourse, but it’s not needed.
My polini test rollers with the rollcovers that came with the set are 900km old. not even slightly degraded.

that’s what i wanted to hear.
I didn’t really be wanting to buy yet another set of rollers if it’s not required.
for test rollers to last so long possibly due to the covers protecting them.
i’m happy now.
