So i got the multivar today,i got 2 rings with it.
I guess the thick one will go between the carter to the pulley like in the original vario.
but what is the other ring for?
Can u post them on a Picture, there’s a Thick black ring for between the Carter and the Vario.
The other one is not know to me.

could it be a spacer for between the two pulley halvs?
i guess its the ring that goes on the outside of the vario before the nuth that screws on the crank
i think that is the ring, wich in the netherlands is called varioring. It is placed between the variator and the halfpulley. The only thing it does is preventing the snare get any higher.

I think you are correct, so i should not use it, right?

That is correct, you use it to limit the front vario.

If you put it between te halfpully and frontvario, the snare will go less higher.
It also makes that the snare goes deeper into the vario and halfpully, which makes more strenght from bottom(kinda torque)
Tried it myself, althought at a scoot, gave much better acceleration.
i personally think that if you DO mount the thinner ring, you don’t wreck your 90/100MM disks. But that is my opinion. because i f*cked up 1 set of 100MM disks and 1 set of 90MM disks.
