…So I found the thread on swapping the fox clutch, and from the pictures it appears that the only parts needed are the fox clutch assembly itself and the fox drive shaft. Do the Vespa final drive gears mesh the fox drive shaft without modification?

Sorry for asking dumb questions, but I don’t speak/read Dutch and the babelfish translation wasn’t very helpful. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

No, won’t fit, too many teeth, shaft is too short, end of shaft is too thick

You will have to combine 2 shafts (fox and vespa) by welding, threads and/or pressfitting

          For what I have understood…

The gears do not match and you will need to weld the Fox end to the Vespa beginning. Allignment is a bitch while welding rocks it everywhere. So modification will be needed.

I haven’t tried it but you might want to PM Arvid…. He’s one of the Guru’s around here.

Good luck and how’s the wheather in Seatle?
