Like a lot of other people here, I’m just stopping to say hello and show a couple of pictures of my project. It’s not a ciao, but I’d like to get one of those soon and start over. I learned a lot by building my bravo and I think there is even more to learn by hanging out here.
You can read the whole blog here:
http://www.projectxj.com/moped/I started out with a very cheap 1977 Vespa Bravo:

Here is what I ended up with:

5 mei 2008 om 18:26 #147607Wow, Your Bravo is awesome!
Especially the paint on the tank!I’m sure you have spend much time to make it like this!

5 mei 2008 om 22:08 #147614Very nice ! I saw the picture some time ago in a topic here.
I should put a better exhaust on it, because the polini country = piece of shit
5 mei 2008 om 22:27 #147615Hella cool.
5 mei 2008 om 23:42 #147616what`s the engine setup for this awesome moped (or what do you call it)?
6 mei 2008 om 02:37 #147617Thanks for the compliments everyone. 😀
The engine has 65cc Polini that has been matched to the case. I didn’t drill out the intake though, and I now know that I should have. It has a 13.13 dellorto carb and malossi air filter. I plan to buy the malossi variator soon, but I think that is all I will really spend on this build for a while.
I know the Polini pipe I have is a “piece of shit”, but I haven’t found another pipe that I am super happy with. I would love the Proma Cirucit. Anybody have one they want to sell me?! 😉 I know they don’t make them anymore, but I’m sure they are out there. If not, what other suggestions do you have? I’d like to have a good mid-high range pipe.
6 mei 2008 om 12:29 #147618polini top one

malossi too bad 22mm versionalso you can fill in your set-up:

Polini Top One – I found someone that has it here. It’s $170 + shipping or 109 euros.
Proma Circuit – Nope.
Malossi too bad – never heard of it. I’ll see what I can find.6 mei 2008 om 16:37 #147620Or try and find a simonini racing;)
