hello!
i have posted a few times in the other english forum under my old screen name “deanhatesyou”, but i felt that screen name was too negative, so i am using my name now.
this website has inspired me to build up a super fast and awesome ciao. i cannot understand most of this website, and http://www.freetranslation.com does a horrible job translating it for me, yet i still find a TON of useful information here that i would never find anywhere else!
i wish there was an english equivalent, alas, there is not.
if i get stuck somewhere on trying to translate something on this site, would it be ok for me to ask you all for help translating it to english? anyone care to teach me dutch? haha
anyway, thanks guys. awesome website.17 november 2007 om 10:20 #147523Thanks man 😉
You can send me a Private message next time, i could change your name then for your.
It was much easier then. When you need information you can post a topic in the english section 😉

17 november 2007 om 10:36 #147529thanks guys. i’ve been coming to this site for over a year now, but am just now starting to be a little active, as i’m finally starting in on my ciao.
before that i had my puch magnum with a tomos a35 engine (magnomos) project that took all my time and money, but now that that’s complete, it’s time for ciao!17 november 2007 om 10:39 #147530Amen.
Keep us updated!
Cool to have such a international group of members.
17 november 2007 om 11:19 #147531Fun that an american is building up a ciao 😛
What do you want to put under your ciao ? simonini or something like that and how are the rules for mopeds there?
17 november 2007 om 11:27 #147532I think he’s going to build up a Malossi ciao 🙂
17 november 2007 om 18:58 #147533yes, malossi! although i’m unsure of what cylinder kit i want to use still. and what pipe.
here, you can get away with just about anything. only thing is, you really should leave the pedals on. some people don’t, but technically, removing them is not legal. besides, i really like the pedals. did you follow the link i made up there to my magnomos? i wasn’t able to make the pedals function, but i left them there anyway. it makes mopeds more fun for me, when they have the pedals!17 november 2007 om 20:20 #147534It looks really 😛 humoristic
I should go for a 46mm athena and a simonini racing exhaust / simonini calibrata. And i shouldnt buy a malossi engine but a simo side inlet with 24mm or 28mm carburator.
The pedals make your moped so lame i think , kickstart pedals are kewl 🙂 but the normal pedals are huge and ugly i think.
America is weird 😛 you can do what you want BUT you need the pedals on your ciao else its not legal heheh
17 november 2007 om 22:02 #147535here, there are a LOT of scooters, and the moped crowd likes to divide ourselves from them. pedals are one good way for us to do this. plus, we don’t want people to think that we are on small motorcycles. here, if you don’t have pedals, then your bike is legally either a scooter or a motorcycle.
personally, i love the pedals.

we even make custom crank arms for our pedals

this is my bravo. stock 50cc cylinder, but i did some port work, milled down the head, 13/13 carb and proma exhaust and it was doing over 40mph (64kph).. not bad for stock 50cc!
17 november 2007 om 22:50 #147536Nice tank on the bravo, it really changes the looks a lot.
Also, the saddle on you puchos is awesome:P
I see you’re a moped army member? That seems like quite a movement, with the little clans and all. Is there a vespa (ciao) group as well?
Here you have a similar division between moped and scooterfolks, although of course not everyone is into the black and white thinking.
17 november 2007 om 23:20 #147537yeah, i’m in the mosquito fleet, seattle’s branch of the moped army.
there is no ciao groups here, which is too bad. i wish there were. ciaos are my favorite.the scooter vs moped thing here is more of a joke, sort of.. i have a lot of friends who ride scooters, they are some of my best friends, but i give them crap and they give me crap. it’s all in fun!
i rode a scooter once. it was fun, but it was no moped!
