      Finally time to build ny Polini engine.
      It’s a Speed points ignition carter, a 46 mm Polini cylinder and an original moped crank.

      Is there anything that should be modified, improved or fixed in anyway before putting it together? the carter casting is so-so with a lot of rough edges as with all new Polini carters.

        You do not necessarily have to do anything, to make it run good, but of course port matching will help you getting the best results..

          Just make sure all the parts are even and have no ‘loose’ parts or aluminium pieces in there that can get loose while driving. Also the polini 46mm head is a bit curved most of the time this you could sand flat on a piece of sanding paper taped to a glass window or mirror along with the cilinder top part.
