      Hi,

      Bought a used engine really cheap that the seller said was “professionally” ported.
      Whoever did it seems to actually have used some type of CNC-machince but the questions is if I gain anything from softening the edges a bit?

        The inlet shown on the picture above is still original “Brom”. I can’t see if the diameter of the manifold is drilled to 13mm.

        Maybe the seller referred to the channels for better flow of gasoline towards the cilinder.

        To answer your qeustion: No those edges do not need softening. This does not help in any way.

          Interesting, the “brom” carter version was never sold in Sweden.

          I think the inlet is 12 mm.

            Looks like an “belgen” inlet.
            Stock 12mm manifold and wide inlet ideal for an 43mm cilinder.
            Easy to drill to 13mm without the need to widen the inlet.

              This engine will get a DR Evo 43mm and a 12/12 Dellorto so it seems to fit perfectly.
