Hey,
at the moment I am driving the italian CNC plate with an original Malossi Membran, but not the new version.
My idea is to change the Membraan, maybe one by a scooter or so.
But I dont know which one will fit, some modifications are no problems!Does anyone knows if there is a better Membraan then the original one?

do you want to enlarge the intake suface of the reedvalves (membraam) by adding a 6 or 8 reed reedvalve,
normally is a 4 valve pretty big for a vespa engine.the evo engine by polini has only 2 reeds and performs very good.
or do you want to modify the intake manifold?
that is one that needs some inproving, the flow is not ligned up 1 to 1 on the engine.
i mean that the intake is off center.

coopering what you could do is measure the original membrame and the hole where you are putting the membrame in.
If you take these measurements to a scooter shop or ask an online scooter shop you could find the fitting results.@Ritze:
I dont want more reeds. I’m looking for a alternative to the malossi membraan because at the moment I have to use a pakking between the manifold and the membraan. So I would like to get a thicker one.@DR Flenny:
Great idea!I’ve looked around on ciaocrossclub.it and if I understood right the minarelli horizontal membran would fit.
I think MHR’ Citta had another membraan but I cant understand good what is written there. Maybe someone of you could us the vc.nl search for me?At the downer part of the page u can see the 2 different mebraans by malossi. I have the first one:

I’ve checked for a Minarelli membrane, but this also doesn’t fit straight out of the box. I can have another look because i think with a little work this type of membrane could fit in a Malossi Reedvalve case.
Wich type of Malossi carters do you own?
-The oldest before ’91(some later versions)
-old type after ’91 till 2010
-new type since 2010I think I have the old type. On the carter stands 91.
Some work for the fitting is no problem 😉
Something like this looks quite good I think, better then the original one.
