Hi,
got a Nederlands Ciao frame with paperwork. Is that all you have attached to your Ciao when driving legal on the roads?
Is my paperwork for a Ciao driving without helmet and is the build year 1999?
21 juni 2011 om 08:58 #146174This is from a belgian ciao. (notice the dutch and french words)
In holland we have different papers.
21 juni 2011 om 08:59 #146175Hey,
That’s a Belgium paper. It looks like this is for a 25 km moped indeed.
Our Papers look a bit different…
Example:
I came, I saw, and I forgot what I was doing...21 juni 2011 om 09:55 #146176ah, ok. Would it be ok to drive with Belgium papers in Nederland?

ah, ok. Would it be ok to drive with Belgium papers in Nederland?Yes i think so, but also with german papers right?
And i believe that ”klasse A” stands for no helmet.
Can someone correct me if im wrong?
21 juni 2011 om 10:17 #146178yes, I would get German insurance for that frame and then like to drive it in Nederland if possible.

Klasse is not without helmets,
helmets must be ware on every moped in belgium21 juni 2011 om 10:51 #146179yes, but if I drive this 25km/h Belgium frame in Nederland, do I still need a helmet?
21 juni 2011 om 11:04 #146180I dont think the dutch police know that in belgoum everyone needs a helmet so i would try it if your moped doesnt drive faster then 25km/h.
21 juni 2011 om 11:15 #145760indeed,that s a 25km/h paper,if you have a frame with 45km/h papers,i’m interested!,thats klasse b

yes, but if I drive this 25km/h Belgium frame in Nederland, do I still need a helmet?I believe you have to wear a helmet then…
21 juni 2011 om 15:15 #145564@ jelle: this is not true. as you cross the border, you need to adjust yourself to the rules of the country you are in at that moment. this meens that if you drive a snorbrommer (A-klasse) you are equal to a dutch moped with blue license plates. So you don’t have to wear a helmet.
and jelle, for example: if you cross the border with your citta, you must wear a helmet because those are the belgium rules. you understand?

Completely correct! But as said, in Belgium every rider needs to wear a helmet..
To be sure that policemen don’t become suspicious on your moped, i advise you to put a D from Deutschland, on it.. OTherwise they will be astonsihed to see a moped without a plate…( Of course when you are riding it in Holland,I mean)9 april 2014 om 05:25 #146520I have a questions that fits well here.
I want to buy a dutch moped with has still a licence plate. what do I have to do? do your insurance ran off automatically like in germany? In Germany you insure a moped for a year and on 31.2 every year the insurance runs off…I hope you understood what I mean.
9 april 2014 om 06:59 #146521I dont know if its the same with every insurance company but my company automatically extends the Insurance when it rans off.
So the owner should inform the Insurance company when he wants to end the Insurance.
If the moped has a Dutch license plate, the owner has to end the registration with the RDW himself. Because every moped that has a license plate MUST be insured. If not you get a 300+ € fine.
