I have an abnormally large cylinder on my reedvalve (a 21mm phgb is till quite small) and have been thinking for quite a while about installing a bigger carb on it. A friend of mine has successfully put on a 24 mikuni, though not without some serious modification (frame cutting, case cutting etc.)

Now is there anyway to put on a larger carb without all the cutting. Designing a new manifold is no problem for me. Would really appreciate the help & advice!

Which kind of cylinder do you have on your reedvalve?? Because 21 is already huge for a ciao/citta cylinder!

A new simonini engine which outperformes any malossi reedvalve setup comes with a 21mm dell’orto.

I would focus on making a straight manifold if you haven’t one yet.

Thanks for the info! I’ll stick with the 21mm, though I will try and find some ways to improve it.
