as i have said in a previous post, i have a rv carter made to fit the malossi 46,5 cylinder and i have seen pictures and heard that some people use epoxy wax or liquid alu to block the other ports when they fit deps cylinders. Will i need to seal/block the ports made for the 46,5 so i will achieve the best performance with the big deps cylinder?
It won’t make much difference, I would not bother. The ports will be there but they are blocked by the cilinderbase.
I came, I saw, and I forgot what I was doing...I wouldn’t bother, mainly cause i wouldn’t expect a significant effect and secondly because the filling can come off.
The Deps Cilinder only has 1 big feeding transfer, fed by the crankcase 😉
But because the only feeding transfer is the very only BIG ONE, you have to close the ”standard” holes in the crankcase, like with epoxy, so you only need to mill in the carters for that ONE big transfer 😉
But, as for the 46,5 ,there are more feeding ways, as you can see on the cyilinder base;) So , you don’t have to close some ports in the crankcase, but for optimal performance, you might rework the crankcase to make it fit to the max to the cilinder base/transfers 😉

Hij vertelt nu juist dat de poorten van de 46,5 er al ingefreesd zijn, en het gaat om een RV carter waar dus ook een deps poort in zit. Jij zet nu een algemeen (en wazig) verhaal neer terwijl erboven directe antwoorden op de vraag van de t.s. staan 😕
