:: 90mm clutch @ moparts New question!
-
Hey, was planning to send after some vario parts, but then i noticed this:
http://www.moparts-webshop.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=55
Clutch for the variomatic kit.
Fits the variomatic transmissions.
90mm discs.
This type is built with a central clutch shoe spring and can not be adjusted with other tigher/stronger springs. The pressure spring, however, can be adjusted/changed for a tighter one.
Is this true, that you cant put in harder springs, or is it false? Would really suck if you cant adjust.. 🙁
true you cant replace those 3springs like in a normal clutch cos this only has 1 in the middel
Okey then i guess it wouldn’t be that great for high rev tuning parts :/
i beleive you can change the tension spring but that’s about it.
better to get a second hand unit then you can change the x3 springs to malossi tight ones.
i have bought a lot of parts from moparts and are an excellent supplier, and a great bike builder.
thanks
Giuseppe
Yeah the tension should be exchangable.
I have now found clutches second hand in good shape. Both 90mm and 100.
So i just have to ask, is it any profit with 90mm clutch instead of 100? like higher topspeed or something?
Or is 100 better on all ways?
90= higher topspeed, less acceleration
100= bit lower topspeed, slightly better acceleration..
I would go for the 100’s when i see your setup?
tnerual :

I will be using (probably)Deps 47/simonini 48, eurocilindro sideinlet, dellorto 19/PWk 19/21, some good exhaust like simonini calibrata, fabrizi etc.
