i am installing the complete motor setup in a customer’s bravo and i was wondering if any of you have any experience with this motor? is there a lighting coil? how do you run lights? i can see that there are two coils behind the flywheel, but the wires coming from the motor all go to the cdi coil according to the instructions..
      thanks for any info!

A few people on this forum have a Simonini 100cc Motor, They will respond;)

I know that there is no light source on the 100cc Simonini Motor( Correct me if im wrong)), Perhaps you can install a battery pack on your moped for the lights.

Maybe you should take a look at these Perso’s:

The old version uses a normal electronic piaggio ignition WITH lightcoil. At least mine does.

Shamefully, I have only driven 5km’s with this engine, It’s overheating constantly and I can’t get it carburated because it’s pulling air in(what we call ‘false air’ ). I have to make a manifold for smaller carbs because the 26mm is just useless.

so after emailing with simonini directly, we have come to the conclusion that of the two wires coming from the magneto and going to the cdi box, the yellow one can be split to also run the lights. i tried it out and sure enough! it works! now to work on getting the bike tuned proper!
