Does anyone KNOW the true angle value of the flywheel where it fits on the crank?
I have done my calculation based on measures but I´m still in doubt.

you’d probably be better of with just measurements…. if you have both the flywheel and the crank, see if your measurements fit. either way, the crank’s smallest inner diameter is supposed to be a few tenth of millimeters larger than the smallest inner diameter of the flywheel. when you install your clutch or variator, the flywheel will be automatically “clamped” tightly on the crankshaft. just make sure the slopes are precisely straight or you’ll end up with a wobbly flywheel.
the sloping part probably needn’t be extremely precise for it to fit, it all comes down to the clamping force.one more thing, make sure the slope is on the right position, otherwise your flywheel could scrape against your frame.

I have done the math and according to my calculations the angle is 5,5 degrees and I just wanted to know if someone
had found out the angle and could confirm my calculation.I am in the progress of fitting an PVL ignition to the engine, as you may have seen, and I know that the height will be critical both for clearance in the bottom side and also on the front side.
I´ll keep my PVL thread updated as I make any progress.
29 februari 2012 om 15:20 #146184Just ask Waarom? from this forum. He managed to make the rotor fit on the crank. Since you suposed to practically do the same. Maybe he does have the exact measurments of this slope.
