Hi Together
i will make my engine goes like hell but the importent thing is the exhaust so i decidet now to get one of this two exhausts:
1. at first the proma circuit… because hansieb told it will kick my ass ^^
2. the polini SP , many people say that this exhast gives you the most power for variomatic in higher rpmsso which one of this both exhaust is the better one for my setup?
i have Malossi carter, 19 carb, mazzucheli fullround crank, malossi 46,5 zylinder, electronic egnition, malossi multivar, 90mm clutch, 10 transmission….
can you help me… perhaps some videos ^^
with regards marc
5 januari 2008 om 13:36 #144758my expiernce is that the polini sp isnt good for vario, so you must choose the proma circuit.
i love the proma 😉you can find in my youtube account some proma movies from me..
46 Pinasco, Malossi RV, Schijfrem, Fox Vario
Gele Racefrikandel5 januari 2008 om 13:48 #144759so you mean its definitely nothing for me? …and i saw all your videos yesterday hehe
then i saw this ciao…. WOW that is hot ! http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=KkE_Fg6VkG8
what is inside of this engine?and is there a better exhaust for my engine like any simo ?
5 januari 2008 om 14:10 #144760That’s an early prototype engine from Sprocatti.

You can read about it here: http://www.vespa-ciao.nl/forums.php?m=posts&q=5319.
I came, I saw, and I forgot what I was doing...6 januari 2008 om 01:14 #144761that video is awesome. can you get that kind of performance with the malossi case?
6 januari 2008 om 01:57 #144762These engines usually perform best at high rpm’s. They are somewhat similar to the ordinary vespa engine because of the fixed inlet timing(crankshaft or disc).
Rotating valve engines have the advantage of performing better at high rpm’s, and the disadvantage of the fixed timing. Just like with a tuned vespa engine(without membrane inlet), you’ll get a boost at a certain engine speed.
Membrane inlet engines have a wider powerband and more power at low rpm’s because of the flexible inlet timing.
The membrane can’t keep up with the crank speed at very high rpm’s if i’m correct, although our engines won’t rotate that fast.
Btw. I believe Zirri and Simonini we’re there with the rotating valve vespa engine before sprocatti. I’ve never seen a simo version though, the one on the photo is a zirri if i’m correct.
You can make your malossi motor run like this, i’m sure.
Topicstarter, I prefer the proma on the malossi 46,5 too.
