Hello i have a little problem with my ciao, the rear hub is from one of the old ciao´s with 4 reduction gear axels.
But to keep the vario from contacting the metal of the rear hub (where the oil seal is placed) i need to make the primary gear to be offset to the left compared to the 2nd gear axel.Is there a special hub for vario ciao´s with the oil seal not placed so far to the left or maybe someone has som pictures from their vario hub so i can compare.

9 december 2007 om 13:01 #144679There are some pictures of a vario hub in the how-to section of the site.
I have a variator two, and I didn’t have problems at all.Maybe if you’d make some pictures and post them here, we can help you better and faster.

How may spacers are you using with the primary axle of your gearbox, there schoud be 2 spacers of approximately 1.5mm thick (i guess) Normaly you can move the housing of the varioclutch 1-2mm’s but touching the gearbox in your rear wheel is new for me.
Are you using a original Vespa Vario with the original gearboxhousing ?
Some pictures might be helpfull for solving your problem, please upload some of hem.
