Hey guys,i got reed valve engine,and a 47mm deps alu the top part is brand new from jmpb malossi 47mm
but hwen i put it together i got a Squish band about 1.7mm.
is that normal for a deps cilnder?
if not,what should it be? normaly its around 0.9 or am i wrong?hope you guys can help me.
regards mca.denmark1.7 seems a little big, but it is not uncommon for kits to have a large squish when stock. it should be between .7 and 1 from what i’ve read
But still most Vespa’s do not respond all to well to tight squish bands… I myself have tried squish settings up to 0,7 but I mostly got the feeling that the engine started to detonate when kept on full throttle for a while.
I would not go below 1.0 on a Vespa engine.
I came, I saw, and I forgot what I was doing...Normal squishes at the scooter world are 0.60mm
But on ciao i would say 1mm, i think arvidw tested it and lower then 1mm decreased his performance.I think almost every squish standard on ciao is more then 1,5mm…
